Somme 1916 map project
My newest project, a battlefield map of the Somme, as it was in 1916, combining modern data with period data such as forests and roads. The map is then "draped" over elevation data to give even more visual information to the user. The map when done will have the geo data embedded and can be used with a GPS or moving map display.

1914-1918 War Memorials (Kriegerdenkmäler) for the Rheingau
Some examples of War Memorials from the Great War from the beautiful Rhine region (Rheingau) of Germany. The men marched from these beautiful towns and villages in 1914, and as the memorials attest, many did not return.
